Playmates!

We have been watching two little boys the week! It has definitely been a lot of fun as well as a lot work!

Tana at first wasn't really impressed with the addition to her day! She would cry when she seen them! She has since warmed up quite a bit to them! She now plays with Carter (the boy in the photo) and she chases him around and vice verse! Carter is 14 months but is the same size as Tana! He couldn't pull him self up on furniture or stairs but after a couple days with Tana he is well on his way with stairs and is constantly pulling him self up on things. Fun for them...double the trouble for me!!

We move soon..well in like 24 days!! hooray!! I am so excited to get down there! We have also acquired some new carpet and tile and laminate flooring at very cheap prices. So we are able to get rid of the wine colored carpet...double hooray!

We have had a great week so far! Layton is officially potty trained and is doing really great! Lindsay went on a chopper ride last week and was really excited about that! Tana took her first step yesterday and we are now setting everything up for moving! Life seems to be moving fast these days and so here a few moments captured in time to remember!

I am not sure that the video will work. I hope so but we'll see.

Lindsay said that the pilot flew up and back a little then flew straight down the crevasse. He said it was pretty intense although it is hard to tell from the video. note: it takes about 5 min to get on top of the mountain and the video going down is as long as it takes to get down. about 2 1/2 min!

I love this picture! Layton passes out in the sun! If you notice his toes are still flexed!! ha ha! Oh and his big boy under ware! Makes me smile every time.

Layton is such a goof! he had no clothes on except his hat!! which kinda looks like a turban!! so funny! He kills me!

Two pees in pod/toilet!

Well I am pretty sure I have invested my last dime into the pull-up company! Horray!! Layton went pee by himself two times yesturday...(I won't tell you how many accidents that would crush my excitement!!) And now this morning again! yah! Take that pull-ups! So we are so pleased he has finally caught on! He is pretty excited himself! I hope that Tana is a bit easier and I have to invest less money into the pull-up company! They really should have a dividend program for long time users!

I finally got a picture of Tana and Layton both smiling! Tana was in a great mood yesturday and she loved the camera...or should I say the camera loved her! I can't wait until she walks! She is well on her way now! She is standing by herself and squating and standing all with out help. I am hoping in the next month she will. Just for the fact that she is wearing really cute dresses and I want to keep them cleaner!! ha ha!

Oh and I thought spring was here but apparently I messed that one up! It snowed 10 inches the other day! yup still winter up here and I am not happy about it! The mop pail was empty the day before! aaaaaaaah. I HATE WINTER....when it takes over spring! Oh and it is -14 today....tear!

Progression

My son has officially moved on from the cars movie!! Yeah!!! I was getting a little sick of it after only 5000 viewings...ha ha. I however am not so excited about the fact that he has replaced it with something a lot more annoying.....Alvin and the Chipmunks.....aaaaaaahhhhhhh. Although the songs are quite catchy I find my self shaking them out of my head about 50 times a day...I fell asleep to one last night. But at least he likes it and it keeps him entertained.

Tana has moved on from pulling herself up on furniture to going up stairs....alone...while i am distracted she makes her move! She is quite good at it too. She just up and decided yesterday that she could do it and now she is up the whole flight in a matter of seconds.

Normally progression is great but not so much today! maybe tomorrow will hold something better!...or I'd settle for less annoying or less dangerous!

house hunter!

I am pretty sure you all think that we died on our trip to Edmonton!! Well we didn't. We were just very very very busy buying a house! We had an offer in on one....after a long day of looking at really crappy crappy houses! So the best one we could find in our price range we put an offer in. 2 bedrooms up and a partly finished basement that pretty much had to be re-done as the workmanship was not up to par. We had no response until the next morning but it was only verbal......not good enough for me so we waited, The next morning we had a house drop $20,000 into our price range. Way better of a house 3 bedrooms up and a fully finished basement that had just been done with in the year. So we were very stressed as we already had an offer in and didn't want to withdrawal the offer if we didn't get this one cause we didn't know what else we had to do! So we put an offer in on this one pending we got out of the other offer okay, and we did so that was great! SO this is our new to us home in a pretty nice neighbour hood, Kinda close to downtown but far enough away I don't feel worried about it as down town Wetaskiwin isn't like downtown Edmonton! Oh and I got my new wike!! (bike carrier and stroller) Yahoo although I had to leave it at Kate's house!
