Too FUN!

Happy Thanksgiving! well belated! I am back from the farm on a short layover at my home going through what I figure to be about 500 pictures from the week-end! Here is just one of those taken this week-end! Hope you enjoy!

So I went to get my hair done yesturday and 3 1/2 hours later it came out great...ha ha. I have before and after pics. I know they are not in focus it's not your eyes they were just quick as I don't have a lot of time today and wanted to get these up. Things are crazy here at the smith house and are going to get worse before they get better!

To give you an Idea:

Things I have to do: Prepare a talk for a fireside, pack clothes, do laundry, prepare my house to be left alone for 2 weeks, Go to edmonton pick up my cousin then drive to P.A., give the talk, take family photo's, eat thanksgiving dinner (not so much a chore!), drive home (probably picking up my cousin on the way) do laundry pack fly out to regina, pack again, fly to ottawa, visit lindsay and sam and gabe and maybe the little boy!!, fly back to regina, take more family photos, fly home, edit photos, make calendars and mail off this month, oh wait the month is already over, Oh and then lindsay gets home, super saturday at church, the little boyt I watch part time goes full time.......then oh wait what's next.....oh ya christmas!! aaaaaaaah. ha ha.

Sidenote

Okay, I realized after writing yesterday's post that it came off, like I didn't need Lindsay and that is simply not the case. I NEED Lindsay. He is what keeps me Spain. He is the Ying to my Yang, my Chubbackah to Hans Solo, My...well you get the idea! I LOVE this man and am so happy that he is in my life.

Forced Confidence

Since Lindsay has been gone I am feeling very confident in my abilities as a mom, photographer, Friend, and woman. I was curious why, when the man I love more than anything is gone, I feel more confident. Then I thought well It's simple...One less ball to juggle. It may sound rude, or maybe feminist. But it is the truth. Since Lindsay is gone I don't have to spend the later portion in my day on making a big meal, then cleaning that up. I also don't rely on him taking the children I just deal with the fact that I am the only one here to do it. ( I am going to have to remember that for when he is home!!! ) I only spend 1 hour TOPS on the phone with him at night (mostly cause he hates talking on the phone). Then after the kids go to bed, I clean up and do some editing maybe and research some stuff on the Internet for photoshop. I practise with my camera and then say my prayers read my scriptures then off to bed. It is sad to say but I am quite enjoying the time I have to myself at night and when he gets home.....well I have a feeling there will be an adjustment period we'll have to get through!! ha ha.

P.S. Just minutes after this photo was taken the popcorn bowl was overflowing with popcorn and Layton freaked out and pulled the plug out and accidentally pulled the whole popper onto Tana sending 4 little kernels down her shirt giving her 2ND degree burns. All before I could put my camera down and get them out of her shirt. She is okay and the burns are healing quickly.
